I’m a PhD candidate in the English Department at Michigan State University. I’m passionate about curriculum and pedagogies that engage the whole being and engender curious engagement and attentive presence in the era of distraction.

My research and work explore the relationship between literature and law. I focus on twentieth-century environmental legislation and poetry, examining texts through ecocritical and feminist lenses. I’m interested in interdisciplinary approaches that query the role of poetry and politics in society.

The title of my dissertation is: Earth, Water, and Air: Poetic and Legal Imaginaries in 20th century Poetry and Environmental Law
